Your baby can try a Baby Swim lesson free at Dolphin Swim Club in Crystal Lake or Loves Park! Baby Swim is our class just for infants from 4 months to 24 months old, and it focuses on getting comfortable in the water and building motor skills in the water.

What Happens at Your Free Trial Lesson

Your free trial at Dolphin Swim Club takes three simple steps, from the form to your swimmer’s first time in our pool at Crystal Lake or Loves Park.

  1. Pick your pool and send the short form, or give us a call.
  2. Our front desk gets in touch to answer your questions, help with the right starting level, and set up a time for the trial.
  3. Your swimmer gets in the water for a real Dolphin lesson, our instructor confirms the right starting level, and you get to see how it goes for yourself. If you’d like to keep going, front desk will help you register for lessons.

You don’t need to know your child’s swim level before you start. Helping you find the right starting place is part of what our front desk does every day.

Free Trial Swim Lessons for Babies, Toddlers, Kids, and Adults

Our free trial lesson is open to new swimmers of all ages at Dolphin Swim Club, from babies as young as 4 months all the way through adults. Every swimmer starts at the level that fits them on the same ladder we use at both pools.

  • Baby Swim: infants 4 months to 24 months
  • Level A - Starfish: new swimmers older than 22 months who are still getting comfortable in the water
  • Level B - Seahorse and Level C - Jellyfish, then Level 2 - Whale through Level 7 - Shark: swimmers older than 24 months, building strokes, breathing, and endurance step by step
  • Swim Team: for swimmers who have moved through the lesson levels, or who can already swim a 200 of every stroke with flip and open turns

Is the free trial swim lesson really free?

Yes, the trial lesson is free for every swimmer who is new to Dolphin Swim Club in Crystal Lake or Loves Park, IL. It is a real lesson where our instructor sees your swimmer in the water and confirms the right starting level, and you get to see our pool, our staff, and how we teach before you decide on regular lessons. There is no obligation to sign up afterward.

What ages can take a free trial swim lesson?

Swimmers from 4 months old through adults can take a free trial lesson at Dolphin Swim Club. Babies 4 to 24 months start in Baby Swim, toddlers older than 22 months can start in Level A, and older kids and adults start at the level that fits their skills. You don't need to know the level first, because our front desk will help. If you'd like a head start, the Swim Level Finder suggests a level in a few minutes.

What if my child is scared of the water?

Your child can absolutely still try a free lesson, because our Level A class at Dolphin Swim Club is made for nervous new swimmers. Level A works on water comfort, blowing bubbles, going underwater, wearing goggles, and separation anxiety, and our coaches are trained to work with even the most fearful child. Front desk will help you pick the right fit.

What happens after I send the form?

After you send the form, someone from the front desk at the pool you picked, Crystal Lake or Loves Park, will get in touch to answer your questions, help find your swimmer's starting level, and set up a time for the free trial lesson. If you would rather talk sooner, just call your pool!
